Experience	2-3 years of bulge-bracket investment banking or top-tier consulting experience
Other Skills	Must be ranked at the top of your class with regards to problem solving and quantitative skills. Must have an extremely high level of maturity and ability to multi-task with little supervision. Must have superb written and oral communication skills for presenting an investment thesis to group. Must have a top academic background (both undergraduate school and GPA).
Job Function	Your responsibilities will include identifying and evaluating new private equity investment opportunities.  You will meet with companies who are raising capital and seek out companies with strong business models.  With new investments, you will perform detailed diligence: meeting with management, reviewing financial models, conducting customer reference calls, and studying industry research.  You will also generate extensive financial models to illustrate the potential returns of an investment and you will be a critical contributor to the valuation and structuring decisions.  HarbourVest makes its investment decisions in a team-oriented fashion, so you must be able to communicate the merits of an investment to the other team members and be able to answer their questions.  Lastly, you will be responsible for monitoring approximately 20 portfolio investments and working with the managing directors on post-investment portfolio company activities.
