HarbourVest Partners Promotes Five Investment Professionals
BOSTON — 30 November 2006 — HarbourVest Partners, LLC (the "Firm"), a leading global private equity investment firm, today announced the promotions of five investment professionals. John M. Fiato and Corentin du Roy were named vice president and Carolina Espinal de Carulla, Michael J. Pugatch, and Abraham Soquar were promoted to senior associate."We are very excited about the talent and dedication these individuals will bring to our firm's future success," said Edward W. Mr. Fiato, a member of the secondary partnership team, joined HarbourVest's accounting group in 1994, and later joined the secondary investment team in 1999 where he focuses on U.S. and non-U.S. secondary investments. John holds a BS/BA from Salem State College.
Mr. du Roy, a member of the direct investment team, joined HarbourVest's London-based subsidiary in 2003 and currently focuses on non-U.S. growth equity and leveraged buyout transactions. He received a BS (with distinction) in Business Administration from Paris IX Dauphine University in 1999 and received his CFA designation in 2002.
Ms. Espinal de Carulla focuses on partnership and direct investments in the Firm's London-based subsidiary. She graduated from Rice University with a triple major in Managerial Studies, Policy Studies, and Economics (with honors) in 2000. She received her MS in Finance from the London Business School in 2003.
Mr. Pugatch is a member of the Firm's secondary investment team, with a principal focus on direct portfolio opportunities and large structured transactions. He received a BS (summa cum laude) in Business Administration from Babson College in 2001.
Mr. Soquar is a member of the secondary investment team in the Firm’s London-based subsidiary where he focuses on secondary investments in Europe and other non-U.S. markets. He received an MA (with honors) in Economics and History in 1999 and a Masters degree in Economic and Social History in 2000, both from Oxford University.
