HarbourVest Partners Promotes Five Investment Professionals
BOSTON — 27 October 2005 — HarbourVest Partners, LLC (the "Firm"), a leading global private equity investment firm, announced today the promotion of five of the Firm's 56 investment professionals.Peter B. Lipson, Alex A. Rogers, and John M. Toomey, Jr. have been named principals of the Firm. Corentin du Roy and Amanda M. Outerbridge have been promoted to senior associates.

Mr. Lipson, Mr. Rogers and Mr. Toomey started at HarbourVest as associates. Each of these individuals rejoined the Firm after completing his MBA.
Mr. Lipson received a BA in Economics from the University of California, San Diego in 1993, an MS in Information Systems from the University of Virginia in 1995, and an MBA from Harvard Business School in 2001.
Mr. Rogers, with HarbourVest's London-based subsidiary, received a BA (summa cum laude) in Economics from Duke University in 1996 and an MBA from Harvard Business School in 2002, where he graduated with high distinction and was named a Baker Scholar.
Mr. Toomey received a BS (cum laude) in Chemistry and Physics from Harvard University in 1995 and an MBA from Harvard Business School in 2001, where he was awarded the Loeb Fellowship for outstanding achievement in finance.
Mr. du Roy, with HarbourVest's London-based subsidiary, joined the Firm in 2003. He received a BS (with distinction) in Business Administration from Paris IX Dauphine University in 1999 and received his CFA designation in 2002.
Ms. Outerbridge joined the Firm in 2000 after receiving a BS (summa cum laude) in Business Administration from Babson College in the same year.
