Julie Ocko joined HarbourVest's primary partnership team in 2001. She focuses on U.S. venture, buyout, and credit-related partnership investments. Julie serves on the advisory boards of funds managed by Alta Communications, Berkshire Partners, Capital Resource Partners, Code Hennessy & Simmons, Falcon Investment Advisors, Francisco Partners, J.W. Childs, Spire Capital Management, Third Rock Ventures, and Thoma Bravo.
Prior to joining the Firm, she spent ten years with AEW Capital Management, a real estate investment adviser. As a principal in the Capital Markets Group, she managed financing and disposition transactions for AEW's investment portfolio. Julie also worked for Narragansett Capital, a buyout firm.
She received a BS in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina in 1982 and an MBA from the Darden School of Business Administration at the University of Virginia in 1987.
