About Sean

Sean Gillespie joined HarbourVest in 2016 and is a leader of the firm’s credit secondaries team. He focuses on sourcing, reviewing, executing, and monitoring credit secondaries investments. Previously, Sean played a key role in establishing and scaling the firm’s private credit business, leading direct investments across the capital structure and committing primary investments to private credit managers. Sean began his career at HarbourVest on the direct equity co-invest team.

Sean joined the firm from Canaccord Genuity in Boston, where he was an associate in the Technology Investment Banking Group. Previously, he was an analyst in the Leveraged Finance Group at Citizens Financial Group.

Sean graduated from the College of the Holy Cross with a BA in Psychology.
