Director – Continuous Improvement



Job Description

The Director of Continuous Improvement (CI) is responsible for establishing, managing, and maturing the Continuous Improvement and Change Management programs for the Firm. The Director of CI will partner with the Head of Enterprise Continuous Improvement to establish the CI program for HarbourVest, implement the program, and measure success. He/she will also be responsible for determining a set of enterprise key performance indicators and for establishing the executive level dashboard and routines to measure against those KPI’s. The Director of CI will be responsible for working with IT Project Managers and Business Process Engineers to ensure that implemented changes are sustained post-project, as well as for establishing management routines and processes for control plan health checks. The Director of CI will also establish a change management methodology and will ensure that IT Project Managers and Business Process Engineers are following the established change management methodology and maturing the change management practice.

Additional skills required include PMI Certification; Agile Scrum Master Certification; and Six Sigma Blackbelt certification. ADKAR (or equivalent) change management certification a plus.


BS/BA or equivalent required, MBA preferred


10+ years leading continuous improvement/change management efforts spanning technology and business process change. Experience managing multiple projects within a program with a high degree of executive stakeholder management. Financial Services industry experience preferred.
