Manager, Content Development



Job Description

The Manager, Content Development will join the Global Marketing team within HarbourVest’s Investor Relations team. The primary function of the Manager, Content Development is to drive the development of content to support the firm’s clients and prospects. This content will be used at HarbourVest’s 20+ events and seminars annually, and will also be used in external communications including investor updates, thought leadership pieces, and reports. He/she will be responsible for developing content that provides both clients and prospective investors with information on commingled fund product launches across private markets. This role will have a focus on product marketing with responsibilities such as developing product-specific materials (offering memorandums, presentations, factsheets, and due diligence books) as well as Investor Relations support tools (talking points, letters, and FAQs).

Other areas of focus include internal educational opportunities (teach-ins) and external live webcasts. It is vital that this role work closely with various functional teams (investment, marketing communications, client relations, operations, and compliance). The Manager, Content Development will collaborate with the firm’s product specialists in Real Assets, Secondary, Credit, and Direct co-investments. The ideal candidate will be able to “connect the dots” between client needs, market trends, and business goals in order to generate ideas and, ultimately, compelling content.

Additional skills required include Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), writing, communications, editing, and Salesforce/CRM.


BS in Accounting, MBA/CPA


8-10 years' experience in marketing with specific experience in communications, message/content development, and writing. Institutional investment management or private equity experience preferred.
