As HarbourVest continues to transform its strategic Investor Relations operations and commercial capabilities, the executive team recognizes the need to recruit an outstanding Investor Relations leader to the newly created position of Vice President, Commercial Operations to support and enable the overall IR strategy and provide key operational support to the entire Investor Relations organization. As the Commercial Operations function is established, this position will report directly to the Managing Director of Enterprise Continuous Improvement with a very tight linkage to the Global Investor Relations organization.

The Vice President, Commercial Operations will create a core support structure for a centralized organization including, but not limited to, commercial strategy and planning, fundraising and marketing execution, account manager training and enablement, and data analytics. He/she will also be responsible for selecting, training, developing, and monitoring the performance of team members toward the successful accomplishment of global Investor Relations goals. Furthermore, the Vice President, Commercial Operations will also act as a cross-functional leader, facilitator, and strategic enabler working with key contacts across Investor Relations, Marketing, IT, Finance, Solutions, and other functional areas. This position plays a key role in enabling fundraising growth for the company while also partnering with the Global Head of Investor Relations and Account Managers to establish priorities and goals while enabling teams to meet objectives and measure results.

The successful executive should possess strong business acumen and a track record of accelerating growth via multiple support tools, processes, analytics, and services. Success in this position will be measured by fundraising growth, process, technology, and data improvement, and the overall development of a credible and high-performing commercial operations organization.

Additional skills required include successful high collaboration, strong relationship building, and the ability to persuade and influence cross-functionally. Candidates should be customer focused with a process-based approach to operational excellence.

Education

MBA Preferred. Bachelor's degree or equivalent with strong academic credentials

Experience

Deep Investor Relations skill set; 15+ years of experience in Investor Relations, Marketing, or Operations
