George Anson Named to FN100 Most Influential

Dow Jones’ Private Equity News named HarbourVest Managing Director George Anson the third most influential individual in private equity, reflecting HarbourVest’s “increased importance in the current fundraising cycle”. In the FN100 Most Influential (Private Equity category), Private Equity News highlights the “industry’s unsung heroes”, as limited partners are recognized for the impact they have on the market. The article notes that HarbourVest “is a heavyweight private equity investor, with assets across the spectrum, including the highly active secondaries market” and that under George Anson’s leadership in Europe, “the firm is taking steps to consolidate and shape the market”.
Nominations were accepted by Private Equity News over the past three months with nominees being based in Europe, the Middle East, or Africa. The editorial panel based their final decisions looking at the nominees’ influence, leadership, performance, and innovation in their field over the last year along with their ability to influence the industry over the next year. The final list of individuals was limited to 10 per category, with rankings.
