HarbourVest Partners, LLC (“HarbourVest” or the “Firm”), a leading private markets investment firm, today announced the promotions of Julie Eiermann and Tim Flower to Managing Director. These promotions illustrate HarbourVest’s continued commitment to build and maintain one of the most experienced teams in the private markets industry worldwide.

Julie Eiermann is one of HarbourVest’s longest-serving employees, joining the Firm in 1993.  During her 20 years with the Firm, she has built the Portfolio Analytics Team into one of HarbourVest’s most valuable assets. The Portfolio Analytics Team is responsible for the collection, tracking, benchmarking, and analysis of all investment data, including primary partnership, secondary, and direct investments. This team is made up of 30 professionals and continues to expand in response to the growth in demand for information and transparency. The team helps HarbourVest deliver service and insight to its investors. Julie joined HarbourVest from Advent International and received a BA from University of New Hampshire.

Tim Flower joined HarbourVest’s secondary team in London in 2008. He has played a leading role in a number of significant transactions in Europe and Asia. For the past three years, Tim has led the Firm’s secondary investment efforts in Asia and has helped HarbourVest establish an exceptional reputation for completing complex transactions in Asia and the emerging markets. Noteworthy recent deals include Project Hermanus IV, a secondary direct purchase of five South African businesses from a Johannesburg-based bank, as well as Project Beijing, which involved the purchase of interests in eight China-based companies, together with NewQuest Capital. Tim also supports HarbourVest’s investor relations in Asia. He serves on the advisory boards of funds managed by Asia Growth Capital Advisors, Absa Capital Private Equity Partners, and NewQuest Capital Advisors. Tim joined HarbourVest from Bridgepoint in London, and his prior experience includes positions with MCF Corporate Finance, Nordea Securities, and Ernst & Young, where he received his ACA certification. Tim holds a degree in Economics from the University of Nottingham.

“We are pleased to recognize Julie and Tim, who focus on different aspects of our business and represent HarbourVest’s deep experience and global expertise,” said Brooks Zug, Senior Managing Director of HarbourVest. “These promotions reflect our dedication to the development of the next generation of our firm.”
