About James
Jimmy Dembinski joined HarbourVest in 2025 as a member of both the Credit and Investor Relations teams, where he plays a key role in expanding the firm’s Private Credit business. His work centers on executing capital-raising and investor engagement strategies, with a focus on credit-oriented institutional Limited Partners (LPs).
Prior to joining the firm, Jimmy spent over ten years at BlackRock, serving as a Director of Product Strategy within the firm’s Systematic business. In that capacity, he collaborated closely with Portfolio Management, Institutional Client Business, and US Wealth Advisory teams to enhance transparency around the investment process, with a particular emphasis on fixed income and alternative strategies.
Jimmy holds an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and earned his BS in Finance and Marketing, cum laude, from Syracuse University.
