About Seth
Seth Palmer joined HarbourVest in 2018 and focuses on sourcing, reviewing, executing, and monitoring direct co-investments. Seth is a member of the Direct US and EMEA Buyout and Asia Investment Committees. Seth also serves on the Firm’s Investment Monitoring Committee (IMC).
Seth joined the Firm from BlackRock, where he was a director and founding member of BlackRock Private Markets and BlackRock Corporate Ventures. While at BlackRock, he focused on opportunistic private equity, special situations, and strategic corporate venture investments. Seth’s previous experience includes private equity and growth equity investing at Weston Presidio and investment banking at Banc of America Securities.
Seth received a BA (with high distinction) in Economics and Political Science from the University of Michigan in 2003 and an MBA from Harvard Business School in 2010.
