About Amy

Amy Masters joined HarbourVest in 2004 as part of the fund accounting team and focused on producing quarterly reports and annual financial statements for HarbourVest funds. In 2012, she joined the corporate finance team, where she focuses on revenue projections and analysis for the management company. She manages the team responsible for recording revenue, the revenue forecasting and budgeting process and also manages management company ownership allocations and distributions.

Prior to joining the Firm, Amy was a manager of Private Equity Fund Administration at The Bisys Group, Inc. and a C.P.A. at PricewaterhouseCoopers where she was a senior associate in the Audit Assurance practice.

Amy received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Accounting from the College of the Holy Cross in 1998.

Continuation solutions encompass a host of transaction types in which a GP secures interim liquidity and/or additional primary capital for their LPs in a strongly performing asset, or set of assets, that the GP will continue to own and control. Specifically, they include continuation funds, new funds created by GPs for the purpose of acquiring the asset(s) that continue to be managed by the same GP and capitalized by one or several secondary buyers, or equity recapitalizations involving a direct equity or structured equity investment into a portfolio company. These transactions can also include a parallel investment from the GP’s latest fund into that same pool of assets (a “cross-fund trade”).
