About Julia

Julia Jaskólska joined HarbourVest in 2023 to help lead the firm’s strategy and growth initiatives. Julia joined from CalPERS, where she served as an investor on the private equity direct/co-invest team, as well as Sustainability Lead for PE. In her investing role, she deployed capital into buyout, growth, and VC companies across sectors, with a particular focus on B2B technology. In her sustainability role, she co-led a successful effort to create and scale the ESG Data Convergence Initiative, the industry’s first integrated approach to standardizing and quantifying sustainability data in private markets.

Before CalPERS, Julia was a tech PE investor at Francisco Partners, a management consultant at Bain & Co., and a founder of a fin-tech company.

Julia earned an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business, an MPhil in Sustainability from the University of Cambridge, and a BS in Materials Engineering from MIT. She is a native speaker of Polish with intermediate fluency in Spanish.
